LoloBuy order cost explained: what you pay twice
The product price is only the starting point. LoloBuy’s official workflow separates the product order from the later international parcel payment.
A spreadsheet price helps compare products, but it is not a delivered-price quote. LoloBuy’s public buying process separates an order into two major payment stages, with warehouse inspection and parcel preparation between them.
This matters because a low marketplace price can still produce a poor-value order when mainland-China delivery, payment fees, packed weight, international freight or optional parcel services are ignored. A useful comparison therefore tracks the whole route from the original listing to the final parcel.
Payment 1: product order and mainland-China delivery
The first payment covers the product and the seller’s delivery to LoloBuy’s China warehouse. Before paying, confirm the original Taobao, Weidian or 1688 listing, selected color and size, quantity, seller terms and any domestic-delivery charge shown at checkout.
This payment does not include international delivery to your home. Treat the spreadsheet’s USD amount as a reference for the product itself, not a promise of the final delivered cost.
The warehouse stage changes the shipping calculation
After arrival, LoloBuy says its warehouse checks visible defects and order details such as size and color, then provides inspection feedback and QC pictures. This is the moment to resolve visible problems before building an international parcel.
Products from different sellers can be stored and selected together. Packaging decisions can change the parcel’s final weight or volume. LoloBuy’s July 14 service notice also warns that an item cannot be returned or exchanged after its original packaging is removed, so QC and return decisions should come first.
Payment 2: the international parcel
The second payment is made after you select warehouse items and prepare a parcel. The live quote can depend on destination, packed weight, dimensions, product restrictions, route and any selected value-added service.
Do not estimate this stage from product price alone or from an old social-media screenshot. Compare only the routes currently available for your actual parcel and review the displayed price, estimate, tracking level and restrictions before paying.
Payment-channel fees are a separate variable
The checkout method can add percentage and fixed fees. For example, LoloBuy’s July 7 notice introduced MyBank for users in Italy paying in euros with a stated launch fee of 1.65% plus CNY 1.71.
That example is country- and method-specific, not a universal LoloBuy fee. Check the current currency, exchange rate, percentage charge and fixed charge on the live payment screen each time.
Before you pay: six checks
- Record the product price and mainland-China delivery separately.
- Confirm color, size, quantity and seller terms before the first payment.
- Review every QC image before parcel submission or packaging removal.
- Use the packed weight and volume shown by the warehouse.
- Compare only routes available for your destination and product type.
- Add payment fees and optional parcel services to the final comparison.
